Clubhouse Library
Our laundry is
located behind the
clubhouse. You will
find six front loading
washers, six dryers,
two large folding
tables and lots
of magazines.
Everyone does their
part to keep it clean.
That's Co-op Spirit!
Winter is  here. We have had some freezing temperatures dipping as low as 23 degrees but
most days temperatures are in the high 40's. The sun peaks out for awhile several times a day
allowing for walking, changing propane tanks, etc.  Clouds and fog blanket the surrounding hills
in the morning. The deer wander about with the young bucks proudly showing off their new
antlers. Quail and rabbits scurry here and there and hummingbirds still find their way to the few
feeders that remain.

Any season is a good time to visit Timber Valley
This is a wonderful place to live!

Around The Park
All roads in Timber Valley are paved and the park is covered with beautiful trees to admire as you
walk. It is a magical time here in the great northwest!

Even Timber Valley pets enjoy a space of their own at the fenced dog park. You will find many
members and guests chatting while their dogs romp with their friends.

Did you wonder what happened to the Computer in the game room?

That poor old computer was so old that it was useless in today's world. But what to do with it was a
problem. It is against Oregon law to just throw it away. It could have gone to the Goodwill in
Sutherlin. They have a contract to dispose of them properly. But Tom and Margi Binninger had a
better idea. They took it first to the local schools but not knowing if it would even work it was not
useable at the primary level.  But it would be useable at the high school. They have a computer
class that takes the old computers apart to understand just how theywork and then they
reassemble and repair them.
That old computer still has some things to teachthe tech savvy teenagers. Just like the citizens of
Timber Valley, being old does not mean we arethrough with life. There are still things we can do
to be useful to our community.
Puzzle Table & Library Section
The library has become so popular that it outgrew its shelves. When it became hard to find selections and the shelves
became too tightly packed it was time for an overhaul. Rita Prout and her committee tackled the renovation First they got
rid of the VHS tapes. Then they moved some sections of books into the game room just outside the library door. On the
shelves behind the puzzle table you will find the Westerns, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and Non-Fiction sections. Also the DVDs are
stored along with the puzzles.  Moving these sections to the game room gives all of the sections more space with better
organization.
Marie Girlando made this quilt for her
Grandson's graduation using his T shirts
representing his high school and his time
on their swim team.  What a wonderful
reminder of his life in high school. What a
talented Grandmother.
Wanda Ellis's beautiful afghan is an
example of Swedish Weaving,the
process of weaving threads, forming
patterns, in a loose woven material
such as monks cloth. She is already at
